price check on a Model 25-2
I am looking for opinions/ expertise on approximate sale value of a pristine (99%) condition Model of 1955 25-2 6" revolver. Revolver only. No original box. Just a boatload of moonclips.
Any help appreciated. By the way my thought was between $550 and $650. (But I may be low... I did not find any sold listings to compare it to.
Thanks

If anyone offered you that kind of money for one, they are a crook looking to skin you.
Market value on that gun without the box is 1100 easy, probably closer to 1200.
I would expect to pay close to 1500 for one with box, tools, and grips.

I'd have to go in the $800-900 range. Pristine stuff is getting harder to find, even without the box and accessories. But, I haven't really kept up with current prices since I don't need one.

price check on a Model 25-2
Like the model 28-2 recent prices have skyrocketed......your not going to find one for $500-$600 anymore.....you can’t even get a polymer gun for that amount these days. I know I wouldn’t let my 25-2 in .45lc go for that amount. The .45 acp has been elusive for me.

I bought one in about 98% condition at an auction in March of 2019 for $650.00, but with buyer's premium, sales tax, shipping and FFL fee it came to a total of $814.20.
Now that was last year, and I have seen prices go up significantly at various auction houses over the past year.

I would be surprised to find one as described for less than $1000. I bought a 6.5 inch in the box with tools/etc. at the last Symposium for $1000 but most I see as a package are about $1200. Recently bought a 6.5 inch here on the Forum for $995 but it was D&T with a Leupold Deltapoint and definitely not 99% and without correct stocks. If I saw one as described for $1000 or less it would go home with me. Good luck.

Hi condition N frames are $900-$1k just about everywhere. The 28 might be slightly less but the bottom is coming up.

Is it model marked, does it have an "S" serial prefix, and what is the condition! I bought this first year production gun, without grips, and 90% for $1100 a few months ago. I'm sure it was below the money! I made the case and put the cokes on the gun!

Back in July I sold a 6.5" early 1970s 25-2 for $1050 in its presentation case.

I would expect that to be in the $1200 range.
