INHERITED SOME STUFF
UPDATE: Thank you so much for the many replies and condolences. It means a great deal for me to be able to find this expertise and kindness in a collector forum. I am humbled and grateful.
Lost my dad to cancer back in September. Recently inherited a few S&W revolvers from him and I would love some expertise help identifying year of manufacturer and relevant details. No, I'm not interested in parting with them. (sorry). They mean a lot to me. Hopefully I gave enough info but you can let me know if there is something else needed. Picture is attached. Thank you all in advance!-Hoot
1) Marked Model 30-1, 32 S&W Long, Button latch, Blued, 3" pinned barrel, SN-H238XX
2) Marked Model 31-1 32 S&W Long, Flat latch, Blued, 4" pinned barrel, SN-760XXX
3) Model 10 (no model number markings), 38 S&W Special Ctg., Button Latch, Blued, 4" pinned barrel, SN-C370XXX

You basically answered your question.You know model numbers and calibers. Serial numbers will let collectors here tell shipping dates.
One .32 has what I think are Crimson Trace replacement grips.
Serial numbers are on the butts. Others are assembly numbers of no consequence once the guns leave the factory.
The .38 will safely fire Plus P, but heavy use may accelerate cylinder endshake, timing problems, etc. But no worries, as that isn't meant as routine range ammo, just for moderate practice and actual defense.
The .32's are pretty weak for use on humans, dogs, raccoons, etc., but should kill most dangerous snakes well.
A collector will be along soon for additional help. (Jack just posted.) A factory letter can say when shipped and orig. shipping configuration, but is expensive and in your case would prob. just reflect what you see. The .38 has nice smooth grips. Originals were checkered.

Thank you sir!! I appreciate the info. Being a newbie, I read quite a few posts before posting my own inquiry this morning and it appears that S&W was consistently inconsistent with SN tracking. Not sure why but it seems to be a daunting challenge to find accurate information for older pistols/revolvers.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad.
Only one tidbit of info to add to Jack's: the .32s are built on the J-frame, and the .38 M&P is a K-frame.
Nice lot you inherited. I hope they'll bring good memories when you take 'em to the range.

Welcome to the Forum and sorry about your loss.
It is generally accepted that S&W practiced "First in-last out". I have a commercial 1917 that shipped in 1936, about six years after most in the serial number range shipped.

First off, I am sorry for the loss of your father. I was also QUITE HAPPY to read that you are NOT selling them! 
Secondly, you have inherited 3 of S&W's true classic revolvers which will always hold their value and be sought after. They also look to be in excellent condition! If you treat them properly they will last another lifetime so please don't be afraid to shoot them with the proper ammo of course.
Because of the current ammo crises I hope you dad also had ammo for the revolvers as you might find it a bit difficult to get now days. Use them in good health and welcome to the Forum!
