Default Serial number lookup

Hello,

I purchased a Model 36 3" j frame from a local gun show a week ago. It is a 3 screw with "38 S.&W. Special CTG" engraved in the barrel, with "47353 B.6" engraved in the yoke. I was wondering if I can get help identifying the year with the serial. The serial is: 504413

Thanks

Welcome aboard from ol' Wyo.

That's sort of a sketchy era in my database. I don't have many examples, but I'd guess spring or summer of '67.

Is it a Model 36 or a Model 36-1. The 3" 36 has a lightweight barrel, and the 3" 36-1 has a Heavy Barrel.

Blue or nickel?

Round or square butt?

I apologize for the late reply. It is a Model 36, no -1. 3" barrel, blued, and a round butt j frame

What I have is just a standard model 36, no -1, it is a blued 3" pinned barrel with a round j frame butt.

Sorry for the late reply
