I once had a Nickel 15-3 Snub
And finally I have one again! Snub nose 15s are few and far between around here. After I sold my first one about 10 years ago I immediately wanted another. Well a few weeks ago a good friend of mine let me trade him out of this one. It had some nice PC stocks on it, but I put some Grashorn's on.
I'm currently working on the carry rig pictured. @crazyphil gifted me that fine holster in his recent giveaway and I sourced the dump pouch off of Ebay and the belt from the department supply closet. All that's left to do is resize the belt (it's too big) and replace the buckle with a fancy set I have. Then off to work it goes! First the holster from crazyphil, who I consider a friend, then a sweet deal from my buddy Kyle, another good friend. It's all coming together nicely.
Serial number 3K93xxx, so i'm guessing 1973ish for shipping date? Got that out of the SCSW 2nd Edition, a gift years ago from my wife's Grandfather.

The Model 15 snubs in my opinion is one of S&W's most handsome and iconic looking handguns ever made. Note my Avatar...

Wow, that’s a beautiful rig! I don’t think I’ve seen a nickel 2”, so I settled for a couple blued examples - one is now black.

I like those stocks on the black one. Can you tell me about them?

They were made by John Hurst, contemporary of Fuzzy Farrant and Guy Hogue, all LAPD officers and members of the shooting team. PM me if you’re interested. I am thinking about listing them.

those are the best Grashorn elk stags I’ve ever seen. The nature of elk often has big patches of brown bark where these are slightly and naturally “jigged”. After reading that thread about Model 19s and extensive magnum shooting, I’d be tempted to trade my 3” 13-3 for one of these but never see them for sale. And both guns cannot inter Cubafornia. That’s one good looking shootin’ iron.

I would too if I could find one, I love the blue one. My nickel snub needs a brother.

I have 2 sets of Grashorn"s that look like that, both bought recently. The second set is N frame. They do look good I must admit.
