Default A 14-3 birthday for me.

Been a good while since I got to buy anything for myself but I figured turning 50 yesterday was a good enough reason.
Looked around the couple LGS here I like to deal with and picked up a decent 14-3. I plan to round up a nice set of factory target stocks for it next.

The K-38 is among my favorite revolvers to shoot. The 14-3 is a special favorite. At last count I had four of them, including two that are factory SAO.

You should be able to find correct Magna stocks for yours on eBay for not much money. The supply is abundant.

Nice birthday self-gift. Enjoy it.

Be careful in your search for a set of correct Magna grips... most I’ve seen from that vintage are the so-called “PC” type with the bottom edges rounded... the target revolver grips had square edges and when I looke for a set for my 14-3 were a bit harder to find.

Of course this is not a problem with the target grips. For those you have to look for football cutouts vs the full speed loader cut.

You bought yourself a good one! The Model 14-3 is one of the favorites in my collection for paper punching fun time at the local indoor range.

I agree with Froggie on the Magna stocks. I actually like them better that the Targets on the Model 14. I had 2 Model 14-3's but sold off the long-Tom several years ago to another Forum Member.

My remaining 6" came to me with a Flaig ACE #21 trigger shoe which is why the pics appear to have a very fat trigger. It just didn't work for me, so it is long since off the gun and that gun is very accurate when I do my part.

Enjoy yours....like said many times.....they just don't make em like these anymore!

Great gun for a birthday present to yourself. I also just turned the big 50 on the 1st of this year. I just want to warn you that model 14's are like potatoe chips, impossble to have just 1. Enjoy
