Are these Sandersons? Ropers ?
My shooting buddy gifted me these finely-crafted custom grips, presumably acquired after liberal application of medicinal spirits.
If these aren’t the pinnacle of the grip maker’s art, I don’t know what is.
Modeled on a 1980 agency-marked M66.
I mean, just LOOK at that fitment...
Here they are, next to some puny Target Grips on a 686-1
All comments... bienvenidos?

I kind of like them, just the thing for a south of the border day of the dead celebration.

Might have found those near the site of a large bonfire along with several goat carcasses and a stone altar.
Different strokes .......

Whenever I see that word, I think it must be German, maybe short for "vergiftet"... in this case it may actually apply...

Hmmm, the designer might have at least considered...
1) Using a Hogue style mount to prevent the 3rd eye on each skull,
2) Losing the S&W medallions to stave off a lawsuit, and most importantly...
3) Drinking less Tequila! 🤢

Am I crazy or does the wood in the 2nd pic look like plywood? If so, that's the crowning touch...

Isn’t collecting about seeking scarce or rare items? I’m guessing these are one of one. Probably extremely valuable as they may have been on Pancho Villa’s barbecue gun. At least that’s what I’d say in my eBay ad when I sold him

Well, I'm in the minority. If they weren't lumpy and lopsided and if they fit worth something that holds water back, I wouldn't mind the artwork at all.
Kind of a psychedelic, hippy dippy, acid trip motif.
They remind me of the velvet Elvis paintings from years back.

I enlarged the photo and it appears to be wood with a bad coat of clear finish with many dimples.

Knowing his imbibing habits, I would think it rhymes with Flea Hay.
Who knows, it could have been the tail-end of a bender where he woke up -again- at Señor Frog’s after some poker.
One never knows.

After several requests, here are the backside of these grips. Some have suggested that they’re all backside.
That famous “Good Enough” fitment.
The suggestion that there are possibly 30 more of these gives me the shivers...
Mother-of-mother-of-pearl. Simulated.

I can say that these grips fit my large paws better than 95% of the grips I own.
They will be taken to the range.
