Saw this pic of gorgeous revolver. What IS it?
I love this kinda nickel model 49 or Bodyguard-ish unfluted non-snubbie revolver seen on Pint###st! Is it a custom, or is it a conception? Mainly, how do I fit all the pieces together so I can have one! lol

Perhaps the owner will comment, but it appears to be a model 649 with a 3" barrel from a model 60 Target model (either a -4 or -10), polished out with a grip adapter and different stocks.
The main functional issue I see is the tall front sight without the Target rear will make it print very low.

Alan—it blowing up the picture it appears the front sight blade has been removed. The sight pin hole appears empty. I thought about the same problem as you.

You are correct. Using the front sight base as a sight may be tricky.

It’s doesn’t really look bad, but I would have to see in hand. I don’t know if you would just remove the base and perhaps do some sort of shortened half-moon? Or maybe simply a bead like on a shotgun (I saw where one of our members did that with a custom pistol and I thought it looked really nice).
Maybe you could put in a lowered/shortened sight blade but I am afraid it would still shoot way low. Maybe put in a blade and pin for looks and use Kentucky windage!? Aim for the whites of their eyes and make ‘em dance a jig!

The front sight might have the "gutter" to regulate with the rear!

I bet you are correct. I can’t imagine going to the trouble to do all of this, then leave the weapon with no way to aim other than by pointing.
