M617 no dash test.
Test of new camera. Pic of my early 4" M617 with added ramp front sight and target hammer and target trigger. Nice, handy, and very accurate handgun. Big Larry

Nice Model 617.
I like having that ARIZONA Blue Rock in my pics. It lets me know if I have the colors of all else correct.

It's around 30 degrees here in Cedar City, Utah. Too cold to go out. Thanks for the info though. Big Larry

Many vacations spent in the Sonora Desert many years ago. Also the old Yuma gun show. I thought to retire in AZ. but my Granddaughter persuaded me to move to Utah. Thanks Bill. If you are ever in the area, stop by. You are welcome here. Big Larry

I also own a 617 no dash 4", great little revolvers, those 617's.
Bought it brand new in April 1992.

I find it odd that the OP's no-dash 4" Model 617 is equipped with target trigger and hammer but a ramp front sight while the two others pictured have the more target-oriented Patridge sight but standard triggers and hammers. It's not a quality detraction, just another case of S&W inconsistencies. My 4" ND came like the second two pictured but I added a target trigger and hammer so it matches my 6" ND, which came with a Patridge sight and target trigger and hammer.

I put the TT and TH on the revolver. Also, when I bought it, it shot about a foot high at 25 yards, so I installed a ramp sight I had in my parts box and then the groups centered at 25 yards. My 6" M617 came with TH and TT from the factory and is by far more accurate than the 4". Same with my 10 shooter M617-2. Big Larry
