Default Found this little jewel today

Lucked up on this model 37 no dash at a local shop. It is missing its original grips, but is in really good condition. I'm thinking it is late 60's with info from SCSW. Serial is 538993. I think it deserves a set of diamond escutcheon grips to restore it to original equipment.
Never know what is lurking in the local pawn or gun shops.

Yes. 5446xx shipped in July, 1967, so you are in the right ballpark.

The thumbpiece on yours was in use starting sometime in 1966.

Nice "relic," 'hunter.

I watched 537029 sell on the big auction site a few months back. It had number-matching diamond grips.

Most of the nearby Model 37 serial numbers on either side of yours in my database shipped in spring 1968.

Nice find. My 36 from '67 says hello. This one didn't come with diamond grips, but they are numbered to the gun.

I have one that I bought couple years ago that has a abj prefix sn, cant find out when mfg. I think in the early 80s, it is square butt, one owner, nice. The one that you have there is a jewel.

I have two with ABJ serial prefixes in my database. One shipped in '83, and the other in '86.
