I got a S&W model 49 bodyguard about 10 years ago. shot about 20 rounds. Its new in the box, all paper work, still wraped in wax paper, even receipt. It was bought in 1979. Would anyone have an appox value?

I’m sure no expert, so please consider these only ballpark numbers...

An average good condition 49 should easily bring in the $5-600 range, maybe slightly more these days.

I would guess in 100% condition as you describe with the entire package (matching box and all that came with it) would likely push it North of $800. SWSC 4th Edition says ANIB $700, but that’s a few years out of date.
