A good price would be about $650.

A great price would be about $500.

At $900, well, It's yours now. Enjoy it.

They are enjoyable.

$650 would be a steal these days IMO. At $900 I’d say you paid a bit much, but if you like it, enjoy it, they’re the finest .22 handguns ever made IMO.

While I was buying my last couple of 17s I would have agreed with this whole heatedly but that was 3 to 5 years ago.

Amid the pre-election buying panic, unless they were very lucky, the only fair thing a buyer could do for themselves was postpone their purchase. Eventually the country will once again realize gun hating politicians do not get everything that they want and prices will ease. It is up to recent buyers to tell us old geezers where prices are now, not the other way around.

For what it's worth, in past periods of inflated gun prices, for lack of patience, I paid more than I would have in later years. In hind sight it was the best thing to have done for those guns that I used heavily for decades. For those that I barley did more than store it was stupid. I hope you can find or already have bricks of .22 LR. A 17 can help make you a great shot.
