Default Help identifying an engraver.

I have received my engraved Model 58

Will be taking high res photos.

I removed the grips to see if the engraver might have signed it somehow and found this (see photo).

It appears to be two small g's incorporated into one letter??

Any thoughts on who this might be?

Looks like a 9 and a J to me...don't know of anyone who stamps with lower case letters.

I doubt that has anything to do with the engraver. That appears to be a stamping or roll mark and I’ve never seen an engraving signed in any way other than engraving itself. Plus, I don’t think it’s likely it would be signed so far away from the engraved area.
