Default Approximate shipping date for 36-1

Just rescued a finish challenged, but mechanically perfect 3 inch heavy pinned barrel square butt J frame. Appears to have been fired very little, crisp bore and no turn line, but stored improperly. Could someone please provide an approximate shipping month/year for J559XXX?

Thanks for the info. It's a high school graduation year gun.

Hmmmm, glad to see I'm not the only one who cares about such seemingly trivial details.

I have Chiefs from many significant dates throughout my life: started first grade, got my drivers license, graduated HS, joined the Air Force, retired from the Air Force, and more. Just for fun.

Bob,

I am like that too. I have a Model 36-1 that left the factory some year after I was born! It was a good shooter and I used it when competing in PPC.
