Default Not my 4" 29-2.

This belongs to a good friend of mine. We've had it at the range
a couple of times and I love shooting it.

I lent him the Combat grips because he doesn't care for the
trigger guard hitting his bird finger when he shoots it.

Years ago my brother would occasionally let me take one of his
4" 29-2s rabbit hunting.

I mentioned in another thread that it didn't look like it had been
cleaned in a while and he told me there's a good chance it never
has been cleaned. Get me the valium. LOL!!

It belonged to his dad and was a "truck gun" so it never really
was stored properly. It was shipped back in December 1978.

So I told him to hand it over.

And I got it all cleaned up.

There is a little pitting. Most likely from sitting in a not so
friendly environment for a long time.

I got the BK grip adapter and now I'm waiting for a set f Magna
grips for to try it out.

I hope the grip adapter takes care of the issue with his bird finger.

This is how he'll be getting it back. Wrapped in S&W vapor barrier paper and in a nice gun rug.

And I have regular target football grips on my 29-2

@ rubiranch -Take a 29 rabbit hunting? Your rabbits are either considerably bigger where you live or you like to shoot 'em and clean 'em with one shot. lol

Thank you. They do look nice.

I tried them on my 5" 27-2 but kept the Smooth Presentation
grips on it that it came with.

And I tried them on my 28-2.

For now they'll just go back with my other grips that I don't use.

They were jack rabbits and for a few years there were tons of them.
We hunted them a couple times a week. My normal rabbit gun was my 28-2.
