Default Model 19-1 4” date of manufacture please

I have been given a model 19-1 4” in nickel. Finish is perfect and there is a star on the back of the cylinder so I am guessing it has been refinished. S/N K466109. It’s wearing target grips, target hammer and trigger with rr front sight.

I would like to find the date-of-manufacture and an estimate of value so I can add it to my insurance coverage. TIA!

According to my database, your gun most likely shipped in the latter part of 1962, possibly Nov/Dec time frame. Of course only a letter of authenticity would tell you for sure. As for value, without some clear, detailed pics of the gun, it's impossible to determine an approximate value. Pics should include both sides of the grip frame with the stocks removed.
