Any suggestions on applying something to the front sight of my Model 28 for better visibility? I don't want to make any permanent changes to my wheel gun, but in low light or at the range, the front sight is hard to pick up. I heard that some folks use White Out or similar products. Any thoughts?

I have used Testor's model paint with some success. I mix their orange with some white and get a very visible effect. If you change your mind later, you can easily remove the paint with some nail polish remover.
Good Luck,
Jerry

Jerry is right...Testers works good, although about a week ago I went through all my shooter guns and applied White Out on the front sights.
With either one a tooth brush and nail polish remover will take them off with no ill effects

Paint the front sight white. Let it dry and then paint it with Testor's fluorescent Red.
Poor man's red insert.

Alright- thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try, and like you say, they can easily be removed and reapplied 'til I find a combo that I like.

I use a sharpie pen, they come in many different colors but I prefere metalic silver which stands out well against cardboard targets. It also will not rub off but is easy to clean off with a little gun solvent and a tooth brush. Also the sharpie pen can be carried in your pocket or shooting bag easily.

Go on E-bay and look up the word. "Night sighters". They are small stickers that you can put on your sights. If you shine ligh on the dots they will stay illuminated for 30 min. I used the mon my S&W model 19 as a cheap night sight and 3 dot sight. They worked great.
