Bigmtnman's Elk Stags
Hello. My name is Phil and I'm a stagaholic. It's still early in my addiction, but I have it bad. I have 4 pairs of Ken's grips and I ain't stopping there. Anybody else have the same addiction?

Just one for now but waiting for Ken to make the “right” ones for me. The product is better than the pics.
Sorry Ken

Bigmtnman’s Elk Stags
Only have one set so far and trying to get more! I seem to keep missing out by mere minutes. I put them on my 15-3 to make the prettiest Smith in my stable

If they have to be Ken’s, I have several. If just any old antler I believe I have 8 or 9.

Caribou is heavier than Elk and more dense. Mine has a little color. Sorry, I am not picture savvy.

I have the same issue with Culina grips. If I buy a gun that has non original wood or rubber I just have to call them up and see what they have. If they don't have any available I pick a wood and wait with anticipation.

I’ll add my two...
Here are my two examples of Ken’s excellent work. An engraved Baby Chief’s and a 657ND snubby. You know we are just going to make it harder to get them if we advertise how beautiful they are. A J-frame pair most recently went in 4 minutes!

Elk Antler pair outside my door this morning
Just received my third set of Ken's outstanding grips. They are N frame and will go on my 4" nickel Model 57 no dash. Can't get any better. On par with KB grips.

I've only got the one pair, but it's the best fit for my hand of any J-frame stocks I've held.

I’m not an even fair picture taker.

Well, you're no Ansel Adams but I think it looks good.

Correct, he’s in semi retirement, not taking requests, just building them as he goes. I tried.

Was Ansel Adams a gun guy? I didn’t know that. Love his work, though...I used to have a nice framed print of “Moon Over Halfdome”. Now the ex-wife has it

I tried to order too. No go. He makes what he wants and always sells them. Usually right quick. One hint he did give me is he makes the K-frames when the antler piece won't stretch to an N. So , the K-frames come up less often.
I used Ansel as an example of a professional photographer. Whether he was a gun guy, I don't know.

I'm glad to know you can get some use out of that fairly nice holster...I'm still looking for a couple of EDC holsters for my .38-44's, and that one just didn't quite suit my needs...

As much photo work as he produced outdoors, I'd be willing to bet he had some sort of firearm around just in case the wilderness critters decided to challenge his right to be in their home... ...Ben

Sorry I'm late to the party, but the mailllady just got here...I may not even qualify to show these since they're not elk, however Ken handcarved these for me...My newly acquired 1974 Model 19-3 wears a gorgeous pair of moose antler grips while my 1962 Model 36 no dash is sporting a beautiful set of caribou grips...The J-frame holster also arrived today through the courtesy of CQB27 and his holster giveaway...I'll wear each of these with pride!... ...Ben
