Wow nothing new but I’ve seen higher for sertain model dashes. I have no clue how they figure which dash or no dash is valued more. Seeing this where does it leave all the different n frame calibers price wise?
I feel bad for the younger guys/gals just starting out. This makes the brand new classics looking good money wise. Good shooters just not considered collectable by many older collectors. I give it Time everything becomes collectable. This backs up mybthoughts when we oook at older 70’s ruger revolvers which are collectable now and have higher prices.
I’ve seen some punch $5 k to $7 k. And daniel didn’t build them. It’s crazy what these gun dealers are asking for.
I’m a curse every hobby I get into the cost goes sky high.

Not that anyone would offer me $2799 for my 29-2 it would take a lot more than that for me to part with it.

Cabela's has ALWAYS been PROUD of their guns to the point of absurdity!
Things like this and their expansion madness helped bring them down so Bass Pro could pick up the pieces.

29-2 high dollar contender below, but for one not scratched up, that is getting way up there for purchase price!

Why is it m29’s only? I would think the m28, m27, m57, m58 would be a close second as desirables?

I was down there last weekend to look around. Everything was priced about 600-1000 too high.

One of the Cabela's stores has a M28 for 1999.99 right now.
I stop in Cabela's for one thing, and one thing only. Home made fudge.

Of course, Bass Pro is currently the one doing it. But yeah, they’re an odd place to buy guns for those who know what they’re doing. They sell mostly to first timers, but occasionally you can find a decent deal there. (I’ve bought a few) It’s just getting rarer and rarer. I’m not surprised the Wheeling store put an astronomical number on it.

Reporting a high offer from Cabelas is kinda like reporting what day of the week it is. Around me they’ve been through the roof for 15 years at least.

I passed on a very nice model 6" or 6.5" blued 57 at Cabela's in League city Texas with presentation case and tools. They had it marked at $1500.00. I just didn't want a revolver in another caliber. I though t it was a 29 when I saw it in the show case and was already grabbing for my credit card. Wish I would have bought it now

When I ran a Gun Library the usual mark up was 30%. As always the buy amount was as cheap as possible. They seem to be way high or way low there's no middle ground. A lot of the Libraries are closed now.

I GBd a mint, unfired, in the case w/everything 29-2, 6.5" for over $3k. Never expected that to happen. I could not bring myself to shoot it especially since I had others. The winner was very pleased when he received it. I'm the same dang way. If I want something bad enough and I can afford it, price don't really matter.

That 29 that rubiranch posted, has Cokes, so it's probably an S serial number. All of that with the condition, case, and 6.5" barrel, that's over 2K, even in SWSC 4th. And that's years old now. Remember, you don't overpay for the gun, you just bought it early.

Same store has another 8-3/8 nickel 29-2 without the presentation case for $1799...condition is less of course...and to think I bought my Registered Magnum from Cabelas for $2995, of course that was 4 years ago.
