520 At The LGS
After shooting at the LGS indoor range, I went to pay for my time. I asked the owner if he had anything interesting come in.
Yes, he replied, a 520.
He brought it out. Original box, tools, and most paperwork. It was missing the instruction sheet.
The revolver was like new. No discernible turn line, and the recoil plate looks like it was never shot much, if at all.
Not NYSP marked, with Magna PC grips.
Really a nice piece. $1200.
I passed, since we just spent big bucks on replacement windows. And for as nice as it was, it just didn't grab me.
But it was nice.

They never had an Instruction Sheet. Too small an order to print one up.

NONE were marked NYSP.
Also- the grip number should be in the correct serial number range, but I've never seen one with the correct number for the gun. S&W apparently got so pissed off when the order was cancelled that they just threw grips on them without trying to match the numbers and blew them out to a distributor.

Correct.
I should have been clearer-
The guns are not marked NYSP.
The computer printed label on the opposite end from the handwritten label does say NYSP.

At Tommy Gun?
I was just "up home" (at my Sisters) Yesterday and Friday, and went by there yesterday morning, for breakfast at Stan's Cafe, before heading back south.
I knew I should have stopped in.......

No. Not Tommy Gun.
PS - Is Stan's good? It always seems busy when I go by it
Try Vinny's Brooklyn Style Bagels next time yours up. They're next to the Alpine. Excellent.

Fair price in today's market. Especially with the box.

I'd love to find a M520, that is my Holy Grail gun.
