My First Snub
I picked up this M60 (no dash) over the weekend. It doesn't appear to have been shot much or even carried. Serial # 657XXX range so probably from 1965.
I've never had a snub nose revolver before but couldn't pass this up for $500. I think I did pretty well.

My 1st snubs. they are K frame, not J. My 10-5 led me to the purchase of a 66-2. Had both around 5 years. Both are fun to shoot! Bob

Congratulations!
I have a deep fondness for the Model 60. If I’m at a gun show and see one, I’ll pick it up and look it over. Every time, without fail. It’s a compulsion.

Very nice early M60. In today’s crazy market that was a good purchase. We do not see very many nice M60 or 66 around here, would of been hard to pass up. Have you had to get a new safe yet? 😎

I have a M19-3 with a 2 1/2 barrel I bought from the classifieds here. It's a nice gun but so much bigger than this M60 I really didn't consider it a snub.
SS336-no new safe yet but I am running out of shelf space in them

Well done!
I've had mine for a month or so now and it is my go to carry gun now, there is so much to like in the size and durability of stainless.
Mine has older grips closer to your serial and the diamonds that would have been gone by the mid 70s R serial.
Good pick up!

You have what appears to be a new Model 60. It does not appear to ever been fired. There are no burn ring around the chambers. Those burn rings are almost impossible to remove once the revolver has been fired.
