Default Finally finished grips on my 53

Mine is from 1974( only S&W I own. These were oversized rosewood that I had to trim down. I had a bright finish on them but removed it to get a better showing of the grain with the satin type finish.

Beautiful. The satin finish looks good! They compliment the color case hardening nicely.

Wow that is a beauty The long tube and red ramp front sight make this revolver really stand out. Well done on the grips.

Very, very nice. But are they rosewood or Goncalo Alves; don't see the pores that usually show up in rosewood. Not that it matters, they sure look good.

I am suprised that no one asked the type of finish you used on those beautiful grips.

Wink

Nice stocks and 53 Pete
Glad it's not an earlier one.
I'd have hated to part with these.

I may have for you though.
