Target grips look great on those two!...I've got three pair stashed away just waiting for the right candidate, plus a pair of combat grips (all Smith)...And I just bought a 1955 3" SB Chief's Special today...Maybe after I get it cleaned up, I'll let it try on a new pair of shoes...
Just to see what they look like you know?... ...Ben

Great find. The model 36 is such a classic. So useful. I'd buy all of them if I could.

Love the gun! Not a fan of the grips. Yes - they make the gun very "shootable" however they sort of defeat the entire purpose of a "hide out gun" - small, light, concealable. Just my opinion - but again, congrats on the gun - it's great.

Very nice acquisition! Congratulations! If those grips are a bit large for any intended purpose, the good news is that many others are readily available. Possibly even a set of stags for looks and texture.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice!
I had a NIB Hogue mono grip in checkered Tulipwood that needed a home; I found a nice 640-1 for it to live.

Like a couple of other used guns I've bought the touch up blue has rubbed off side of barrel and edges of top strap.
