Default Price check.

What is a rough value of a 29-2 nickel in excellent to like new condition. 4” barrel, no box and has wood grips but doesn’t have factory grips.
Thanks

In my neck of the woods, excellent condition, no box or stocks would be north of $900.

In CA that would hover right around $900-1,000.

I'd agree with the $1000 on a like new without factory grips. I know I'd be serious about it at that price. Nickelholic here.
Good Luck!

Not to be a stickler, but it may depend on what kind of "non factory" grips are on it. The other grips could possibly make the grips worth more than the factory ones. Ropers, K. Brown, Culina, Farrant, Sambar Stag, and others could make the value higher.

In central Texas Nickel 29-? range from $1000 to $1600. 8 3/8th on the lower scale and 4 inches on the higher.

I'm not seeing good condition four inch N frames for less than $1000 and if they have "stuff" with them more than $1000. I bought a 6.5 inch nickel -2 this spring for $900 with "customized" factory targets and thought it was a bargain price even though I had to add a nice set of GA targets. Most of the 4 inch -2s I'm seeing with boxes etc. are with asking prices in the $1200-$1500 range. Good luck.

I will never see a 4" 29-2 marked less than $1200 where I live.
