Default Grabbed another Highway Patrolman

Looks like 1964.
Numbered diamond magnas. 4 inch. Very happy with the gun and the price was terrific.
Needs to be cleaned up a little, but it will be a great shooter!

I'd love to have a 4" gun to go along with my 6" one. An "S" would be even more wonderful. Good find.

That's a real purty one! My HP was a 6", and I swapped in a period correct 4" barrel to suit me. (kept the 6" barrel for whoever finds it in my casket) After shooting a model 66 for years, this big old N frame handles magnums with ease.

Congratulations!

It's funny, because I want my first Hwy Patrolman and that title "grabs" me in a whole different way!

Have to agree! I’ve had quite a few over the years and wouldn’t hesitate adding another

That was a beautiful grab squidsix, they are getting few and far between in that nice of condition. Don't have one myself yet but shoulda picked one up...that I mistakenly put back down at a gun show 4 years ago, stupid, especially at 4 y.o. price levels!

Sweet............. slap a set of stags on that baby

Only own two N-frame shooters a 4" 28 and a 4" 27. I know all the cool kids like the 3 1/2" 27 but when you get to N-frames the extra 1/2" doesn't matter.

You can never have too many! There’s always room for one more.

I own both a 28-2 4" in the S243xxx range and a 27 ND 3.5", and while I really like my model 27, the 4" 28 feels slightly better balanced in my hands.

To the OP - Great pickup - enjoy it!
