Default M27 semi pinto

Just picked this up from a friend and former coworker, hard chromed cylinder, trigger and hammer, barrel shortened and Magnaported. Luckily it came with a nice blue cylinder that I will have Bill Oglesby fit to the gun when he isn't so backed up- probably two months wait- and will eventually want to replace hammer and trigger.

You know, it really isn't too bad.... And I'm curious to see what the porting does. A friend that shoots raceguns tells me the hotter the load, the better they work......and stick with jacketed bullets.....

Is Pinto what the 2 tone, slab sided 627 PC's were called?

Don't know of that model. Pinto is what I've always heard the two tone guns called, but generally blue and bright nickel. This one is blue / hard chrome and not factory, thus "semi pinto" ....
I have been informed all the work, porting, chrome cylinder, trigger, hammer, even chrome bore, as well as trigger job and barrel shortened, was all done by Mag-na-port. As a piece of work , I'm gonna leave alone and not change out the cylinder for a blue one. Not only saving money by not having cylinders switched, I have a decent blue 27 cylinder to take to sell/trade at next gunshow
