Is $599 Hi/Lo/About Right for MOD 34-1?
Serial no. is M899xx, so maybe *circa 1977(?).
SB w/correct magnas, 4" bbl., & blue.
Sadly, no box or tools, et cetera.
Condition is Very Fine-to-Excellent, with no blemishes, finish loss, or damage to wood grips.
What say the cognoscenti?
Thanks in advance,
Bill
*Mr. Jinks confirms April, 1977 as ship date.
Late Edit: I Returned to Take a Few Pics...Hopefully, I Haven't Overstated Condition.

Recently paid $200 more than that for a similar 34-1. Everything else I'd seen of late was in the 1000+ range.

I gave $650 for this one last year and very happy to get it at that price. It did have the original box.

I’d be happy, too!
That’s a beautiful .22 LR snubby, Rubone… and with the box, even!

Where I’m from 599 is ridiculously cheap. U better hurry cuz that won’t last long. If u can’t swing it now put it on layaway if possible

I saw a model 63 priced at $1,000 today, no accoutrements. Asking and selling are different I understand, just giving an example.

Well, I’m happy to say no one from the “mostly tactical” crowd that frequents my LGS snatched up the MOD 34-1.
I picked it up today and am looking forward to doing some plinking.
It wasn’t too dirty (actually, it was very clean) but, man!… it was dry. There are few things I enjoy more than oiling and cleaning a new-to-me gun!
Thanks all for your feedback and shared knowledge!

Those J frame .22s are great trail guns. Fun at the range too. Congrats on a fine purchase. You did well.

Now throw it in a metal tackle box in your bass boat and give it some character.
