Default New to me S&W 27-2 5"

I picked this one up the other day. It is pristine. The Pics do not do it justice. There is a very faint turn line. Other than that the gun is perfect. It came with the box, paper and manual but no tools. It is a birth year gun for me so that makes it extra special! The wood figure on the grips is stunning. I cannot wait to get to the range to shoot this one.

You got the best of the best. The 5” barrel is my favorite length in a 27. I two five inch 27s. One with the standard trigger and hammer and the other one is 3Ts. The standard trigger is a better choice for double action work which is what I use for most of my shooting. Enjoy shooting THE classic .357!

Beautiful gun for sure. I’m jealous. Any birth year gun for me would be a “Pre-model”.

I have a 5" 27-2 that I love. Yours is more purdy than mine.

Jeez, 50 sounds pretty old, but I graduated from HS the year before that gun was made. That's a beautiful revolver, the 5" barrel looks perfect. I've got a really nice one with a 6" barrel, from 1977.

Where in NC are you? I'm in the foothills about 45 miles NW of Charlotte.

I bought this 27-2 last year and it is fun to shoot and accurate. It was shipped on October 8, 1968. Click on the photo for a better look.

Keith Brown magnas & a Heiser holster.
The 5” model 27 seems to be universally admired.

As an all-around performer for most uses of a revolver, there is little that a 5" M27 will not do adequately well.
