18-2 for sale at Oregon gun store.
Just got an email from my guy. He just took in a Model 18-2 that looks awesome. No box or docs, but it does seem to have a set of diamond magnas on it. He says slight holster wear at the muzzle. He doesn't think it's refinished and I'm inclined to believe him. He's in the Portland area but will ship this gun. He normally doesn't do that but he will for a friend of mine. He wants $1100. You can PM me for info and pics. He offered it to me but I'm not buying now, so I said I'd let you guys know. Here's your chance to get a nice Model 18.

If it were an 18-1 maybe, but that seems high to me, but pics would tell the story!
BTW, my 1953 CM .22 is a lot of fun, I can see the benefit of training with this gun with cheap ammo, then going back to the .38 when it mattered.

What would you value it at? Ballpark, without pics?

Boy hard to say in today's craziness, but if I add $200 to the "good" bible price from 2016, it would be a $700 gun with the matching grips. ANIB was $900 6 years ago, but that might as well be the dark ages!

I would say 800-900, also, based on what I've seen on GB.

Seems a bit high to me but these are crazy times! Your best bet is to go online just to see what M18’s are selling for in that condition. M18’s are imho the best double action .22 revolver ever produced. I own 2 and they are just a pleasure to shoot.

I paid $600 for mine about 6 years ago from an estate that was in fine condition with TT & TH (really prefer stock) wearing a set of combat stocks with box, papers & tools. We looked but couldn’t find the original stocks. I didn’t quibble on price because it was my friends Uncle and they were raising money for extended care. I was fortunate to find a 17-4 from another estate a couple of years later. This time a friends Father so I again gave a fair price. Again box, etc and an original S&W holster. Both a pleasure to shoot as noted my others.
I would say $900 is more in line with current pricing but if a nice example $1,100 shipped wouldn’t be totally crazy.

It lasted 2 days and sold for $1000. I think he could have gotten the $1100 within a week. But he just wanted a quick sale.
