Default N frame revolvers.....

Been tellin myself the last 5-6 years
to shy away from Smith N Frames.
Gettin older, the added weight, etc...

Thought maybe I would focus on K frames snubs.

Yet, no luck......seems I can't pass up a decent deal on one.

Two I snagged last weekend and gettin
around to cleanin them up abit.

M28's are my favorite and downfall. All in pic are S prefix from the 60's except one 1973 N series. Have a beauty on forum for sale for weeks, and no interest. Maybe they have fallen out of favor?

That's funny! Congrats on not following your misguided instincts!

Now go dust off that skateboard!

Your money, your choice. There are things that N frames do superbly. For daily carry of a revolver, my round butted 4" 66 is a better choice.

Send that 28-2 my way, if you decide not keep it! Nice pair you found there!

Getting old is often the equivalent of getting wiser.

The added weight, perhaps a gym membership?

If you mean the added weight on the N frames, don’t buy the small bores. A 45 ACP, N frame weighs about the same as a 4”, Model 19. When loaded, a bit more.

Those 36 caliber N frames are significantly more weight. But, who cares! They are N frames!

If you wear out that 28, or shoot a squib, or scratch up the cylinder, or whatever. . . . I was the happy winner of one of the M28 parts kits at the Symposium auction last week and will be able to supply parts.

Too funny....
Extra weight of the revolver.

Deer lease I co-manage is 10 sections of East Texas
Piney woods.
Lots of walking.
No dangerous 4-legged critters.

N-Frames have a cool factor. Kinda like a big block in a '60 muscle car.

My meager N-Frame collection...

{top to bottom}
2022 629-6
1975 28-2
1967 28-2

I really want/need to find a 4" 27 or 28.

A pair of garden-variety standard barrel 629-4's, RB and SB, acquired at reasonable and fair prices moments before the pandemic shutdown. Both came with factory Hogue rubber grips, I just fancied 'em up a bit for show and tell.
