Congratulations those are beautiful Model 27s
The 3 1/2"s are probably my favorite too shoot.
Why no 4" or 6 1/2" examples of Model 27s in your photo?

This was all I can find right now. If they come along and I have some 2A money then we will increase the collection. The 3.5 inch is great to shoot and the 5 inch is fun also. Have not shot the 6 inch the 8 3/8 is well 8 3/8.

From what I have seen, 4" nickel 27-2's outnumber blue by at least 2 to 1. Joe

Congrats on a great acquisition.
No respectable Smith collection would be complete without a 3.5 and 5 inch 27.

Model 27s do not appear to be for everybody. There are even some folk that would rather have a Model 28 even when they are priced the same . . . . That I do not understand, the 27 with it's fine blue or shiny nickel and that checkered top strap, what's not to like?
My 1st NEW firearm was the 6" Model 27 in the upper right of this image. It was bought almost a half century ago and will not be sold while I draw breath.
That 1st Model 27 started a life long love affair with the entire 27/327/627 family of revolvers.
While I will always love that first 6 shooter, I have also come to appreciate the 8 shot Model 27s
And my good old reliable post war 357 Magnum. I know some folks like to call these Pre-27s, but there can't be a Pre-27 until there is a Model 27. I have falen into that same trap from time to time
And then we have to get started on those stailnless steel and alloy framed variations.
WHOA just lots to choose from

OP - that's a bevy of real beauties there!
How long has it taken you to put that set together?
Would I be correct in identifying the one on the extreme right as one of those legendary "ghost guns?"

Nice 27 collection !
While the 4" 27-2 doesn't pop up very often it is a very nice compromise between the 3.5" and the 5".
Practically speaking the 4" Highway Patrolman kinda covers the need for a 4" N frame target site .357 but I'm a 4" fan at heart requiring one (or two) of each flavor.

I have often wished I had used a Model 27 4” instead of a Model 28-2, 4” for my second custom ACP revolver.

Very nice collection you have there.
I had 8 M27s including a nice M 627-2 at one time.
Sold all of them but two.
And I only regret selling one of them.

Here's the collection I had at one time minus the 627-2.
1959 8 3/8"
1960 6 1/2" kept
1961 6"
1975 5" kept
1957 4"
1957 3 1/2"
1968 6" nickel
Not pictured was my 1982 8 3/8" nickel transitional 27-2,
2000 6 1/2" 27-7 and my 1998 5" 627-2.

Not to long about a year I kinda get obsessed with things. The invisible one is a pre 27 I haven’t found yet
