I had 11 S&W's in the safe, but nothing larger than a L frame. I figured that number 12 should be a N, and what better N to buy than a 27?
It's pinned, it's recessed, and it has the 3 T's.
I know you guys/gals like pictures...
So here it is, the newest member to my family (and already my favorite).

That is a great purchase and a great barrel length. That is a fantastic looking gun and I love the grips as they are really nice.

How nice is that!
You certainly jumped in with both feet.
To say I would like to find such a nice example of the identical revolver would be an understatement.

My favorite S&W as well. Love the 27-2 with that barrel length. Nice catch!

Congrats on your first but I bet not last N Frame!! I am the opposite! The 15 that I have in my safe are all N Frames. Be careful because you just might be joining some of us at an N.A.(NFrameitis Anonymous) Meeting!!
Congrats Again!!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm very pleased. I probably paid too much, having purchased it on GB. The gun came with Hogue (rubber) grips on it, and that is what I thought I was getting. The day the seller took it to his FFL, he sent me an email, informing me that he had found the original grips that he had forgotten about, and threw them in for free. That sure sweetened the deal.

I picked up some custom magna style grips on ebay. I think that they look pretty good, but I can tell that they won't be as comfortable as the stock targets. (I ordered them before I knew that the 27 was coming with the wood grips.)

Looks fantastic with either set to these eyes! I myself would stash the targets and use the magnas for carry or shooting.
I shoot ALL of my Smiths. Hate to see em in the safe and get lonely.

Beautiful. Just what I'm looking for for my first N-frame. That or a 25-2.
I would be very happy with that example and never look back. Congratulations.

I love my K and L-frame .357s but, very recently, I picked up a 4" 27-3. One trip to the range with that gun and I realized that I'd been missing out on something special. The truth: nothing beats an N-frame for comfort and accuracy. Count me in as a convert.
