A buddy of mine lucked out with a set of Farrant stocks
Hello, long time lurker here. I’ve learned a lot from reading your posts. I posted up my firs question the other day in a sub thread and thought I would share here as it’s more appropriate.
I have a buddy who works in a LGS. He sent me a picture of some stocks on a M19 they just bought and asked what I thought. They were asymmetrical and obviously custom made. I was out anyway and stopped by for a closer look. When I saw them I thought they might be Fuzzy Farrant stocks, buddy thought so too.
I posted the pics up here, the members who responded general consensus was they were a set of Farrant's. My buddy was able to work a deal with his boss and got these for a steal. He promptly took them home and mounted them on a 70s era Model 15. I’m jealous I’m not speaking to him right now. Lol.
Hope you guys my enjoy them.

I guess different strokes for different folks. Those grips would removed and replaced with a good set of magnas on any gun I came across.

Don’t they require the front of the grip frame to be cut at an angle? A shop near me had a Python come in with a set. Frame was cut.

It was not necessary to clip the frame, since Farrant made stocks for an intact frame as well. Here's a picture from one of the catalogs.

This set did not require the frame to be clipped.

Hogue made similar slab grips before designing the Monogrip, too.
I have only seen them illustrated in one rather obscure book, though.

Does he play the Adam 12 theme when he handles this revolver?
