Smile FHP 1582

Well, I'm pleased to announce that the WTB thread I posted for agency marked wheel guns has paid off.
CH4 out of the kindness and graciousness of his heart was willing to part with his 27-2 FHP.
Yesterday, I received it, and it is in amazing condition. It is a center piece in any agency issued gun collection.
Thank you CH4.
I know you all have seen it before, but I'll add two recent pics.
Enjoy!!

You’re making me tear up…

Glad our paths crossed and it’s in the hands of a Florida copper.

Beautiful revolver!
When I saw the photo I did a double take, as it looks like the big brother of my nickel-plated model 19. It appears to have the same features, but with agency marking. Does it have a recessed cylinder?

Photo credit goes to the gentleman I purchased it from.

I bet mine was in the same shipment. FHP-1615.

I will always treasure this gun as I got it from Charlie Sides.

Congratulations Adam Baker! Nice acquisition. As a fellow Floridian and S&W enthusiast, I've lusted after an FHP nickel Model 27 or one of the few FHP nickel Model 28s for years. I've never even seen one in person, only in photos from lucky Forum members. Enjoy!

Saw a 5" nickel fhp marked 27 for sale locally years ago but missed it,
Had a friend that owned a 4" fhp marked Model 66 but he didn't want to sell it at the time and he has since passed.

It seems 5" was the standard in the 1970's for FHP.
Model 27,28, 19 in a 4" and possibly 686 4" before most went to semi-autos.
