Nickel 19-4, gun show find
Local gunshow had a S&W 19-4 in nickel. The seller wanted 900 for it but felt that was well on the high side ( for me anyway ) so I offered him a trade, he really was not interested in my trade but found something else I had and wanted to go straight across for it. Well, I was in my trade $600 so I said " why not "! I have a thing for nickel Smith's so I am very happy with the deal. It does have a few minor finish issues but nothing bad. So what are your thoughts? Good, Okay or bad?

That S&W 19-4 looks to be in nice shape. Congratulations on the purchase.

Great pick up at a $600 value as far as I'm concerned. I'd be spending some quality time with it showing a little love with some Flitz or Mother's Mag polish. Then (if it were mine ) I'd be on the look out for some nicely figured smooth goncalo alves factory targets !

That model 19 was a good pickup. A lot of people will knock putting some elbow grease to that nickel, but I’m all for it.
I recently picked up a 13-3 nickel myself in “negotiating condition” at a local gun show knowing some time with mothers mag polish and an old undershirt would turn it around. I would recommend a this treatment for your combat magnum as well!

Nice find. I have one of the nickel 19-4's. It seems like they made more- 4's in nickel than in blue.
