On the advice from one of the guys on this forum I sent in an older HB (pinned barrel) model 10 for refinishing to Mac’s Shootin’ Irons for their Tuff-Gun finish (from MA to AZ). The gun is tight and shots spot on but had a pretty sorry finish on her (lots of holster wear and a bit of corrosion on one part of the cylinder). Probably an older police service revolver would be my guess. Had her so long I can’t even remember how I came upon her.

Anyway, I shipped her off to Mac’s. Communication with him was prompt and excellent at all stages of the interaction. His prices were reasonable (I believe the actually finishing came to $130 dollars, it was the back and forth shipping that was a killer!). The revolver came back yesterday one heck of lot nicer looking then when I had sent her out. I’m confident that the new finish will protect the gun far better then my occasional swipes with an oily cloth.

At any rate I highly recommend this shop’s service based on my experience with them.
