I picked up a 629 no dash, pinned & recessed, this weekend. 6" bbl. looks like new & locks up super tight. no box. cant wait to shoot it. my friend got it in a trade at his gun shop.#N748xxx my friend said he thought it was made in 1978, if he looked at the blue book right. I paid $625.00

Ya done good - especially if you didn't have to pay tax on top of the $625. I paid $550 for a 4" 629. Of course, as you might reckon, that was in 1999....

That was $625, out the door. he also said that they were not that many pinned & recessed 629 no dash.

That's a good price you got it for. The 6" 629 no dashers were made from 1978/9 to 1981. The 4" and 8" were only made in 1981, so they are more scarce.
