guys,
i traded into a model 27-2 today.
the guy said it was all original, from the factory. everything looks untouched to me. has anyone seen sights like this on a 70's era n frame

Can't say that I have, but I've been wrong before, but to me the hammer looks rounded off or it could just be the pic, is it a red ramp front or a patridge with a red insert? Now your gonna make me dig through the safe

Hey Twomoons, I thought I had seen that same front sight before on one of my guns,
It appears to be the same as this 27-2, Mine is ser N1776** born 1973,,,
Front the same as yours?
My rear sight has no dots or indents where dots could be.

At the very least the rear sight blade is an aftermarket.
Is the sight assembly itself checkered or grooved? That will tell you if only the blade was changed.

i looked at all my other 27-2 blue guns from the 70's.the sight assemblys are exactly the same.
