I have a 19-4 that I bought back around 1981. It has a 2 1/2" brl.- round butt - casehardened wide target hammer & trigger. It has no lock a pinned brl. and recessed chambers. It has been shot very little and still 98-99% condition. Is it worth much more than I originaly paid for it? Back then the 2 1/2" brl model was very scarce and when I saw one I immediately grabbed it.

Don't know what you paid in 81, but 98% 2 1/2" RB 19's are going for $400 to $500 in the Midwest.

I recently picked up one for $250, but has moisture speckling and a little rust on it. It is literally unfired, so I am looking at getting it re-blued, so I'll have around $400 in it.

A very desireable S&W...the 19 snubby. Especially a pinned and recessed version like yours. You can sell it easily for more than you paid for it.
