Had a squib load in my 2 1/2" 19-6 at the range so I put it away and continued shooting the others guns. Later in the day I noticed that I had some .357's left, forgot about the stuck bullet and fired the gun. Checked it out after I got home and found the barrel ringed but no bulge on the outside. This gun was my favorite and it's condition was a solid 99% showing only a very slight drag mark on the cylinder I called S&W about a barrel and no dice, any info on where I could possibly get a new barrel would be greatly appreciated. Sucks getting old......

I'm with ya' on the "sucks gettin' old" thing.

Before you work on a barrel change, shoot the gun and see if it was affected by the event or if it's just a ring in the bbl.
If the gun shoots as before don't worry - be happy.

What do you mean by "ringed"?

When the second bullet hit the first bullet that was stuck in the barrel, it expanded the ID of the barrel at that spot. When you look down the barrel you'll see a definite "ring" around the inside of the barrel. I ran a patch down the barrel and it was tight at the muzzle, loose in the middle and then tight again past the "ring".

Test fire it. Some bulged barrels still shoot good.
