Would someone direct me to where I can look up Serial #'s for dating my S&W Pistols??

Post them here, just leave off the last couple numbers and replace them with XX's for security reasons. I'm sure alot of people will date your guns for you.

I have a MOD 36 Snub Nose, The S# Stamped in the Frame On the Bottom of the Grips is Stamped 117J5.. The SN stamped in the Yoke of the Pisol is 95609
Thanks for any Help In dating this Pistol for me..

The serial number is on the butt and your dates to 1971-72. The number in the yoke is an assembly number.
