Found a anib model 14 single action with box. What would you expect to pay for such a gun. Dealer wants $650. Thanks Just dont know how much the SA adds to value.

I just paid $465 for a like new mod 14 no dash w/o box.If the box was there I would have paid another $50 for sure.It seems the dealer is looking for a premium of $125-175 for the sa based on regular model 14 prices around here. I buy them to shoot, so I don't know how a collector would value the sa feature but it would not be worth the premium for me.

Not to mention people could convert a standard double action version to the single action by removing a part. There are things to look for in the hammer area that shows if it was once double action.

Just cock the hammer and look at the face of the hammer in the frame. If the hammer face is smooth and unmachined (for the double action sear) it is a SA hammer. The SA hammers were also available to be installed. If this gun has the original box, it should be marked "SA" on the end label. As to additional cost/price, not sure, but looking at older "book" $100 for ANIB wouldn't be out of line.
