I posted just before the holidays about this gun I came across in a local pawn shop. Attached is a link to the original post. Here are some pictures of the gun I bought. Any info you guys may be able to give me would be great. She is marked M 37-2 with BPL05** as the serial number. The stocks have no stamps on the inside so I'm not sure if they are original or not. I have not been able to find another gun like this on the web and am wondering what I found. It is definitely not a steel gun but it is also not marked any where as an air weight either. She is extremely light though. Any idea's on DOB? It is also flat black not blued. Sorry she is a bit dirty I was in too big of a hurry to see what you all had to say to clean it first! By the way I paid 299 plus tax . http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5301039...611038733#7611038733

Handyman,
Your Smith & Wesson model 37 is the lightweight version of the all steel model 36. Yours has an aluminum frame with a steel cylinder and barrel. The serial number dates yours to around 1993. Very nice Smith at a great price.
Enjoy

Sorry to make you jealous! I won't show you the stainless air weight he had in the safe if it becomes available at the end of the month and I buy it.
