I have found a pair of plastic Bill Jordan pachmeyer grips I forgot I had put away and was wondering if they are identical to the JM grips. I put them on my 629 MG and they are a little big for my hand. I was going to buy some JM grips but if they are the same dimensions as the Jordans I should just save my money. Does anybody know the answere? Thanks

Somewhat similar but not the same. JM grips are a bit smaller.

No - those plastic Jordans are nothing like the JM grips. Do a quick search to look at a set of the JM grips and you can easily see the difference.

The JM grips do look narrower at the top. If they taper down they should be easier to grip. Bill Jordan must have had hands like baseball gloves.

Jordan's hands were humongous! I shook hands w/ him a couple times & my own long paw would just disappear inside his!

I know the feeling. I met and shook hands with Andre the Giant in Philadelphia back in the 60's and my hand just disappeared in his hand. I think at the time it was called something like Fabiani's Mat Time.

I have owned each and they are quite different. I never cared for the plastic Jordan grips. Some of them (like mine) weren't very well made and chipped easily. If you're looking at a set and they fit your hand, you can always reinforce the inside with epoxy to make it stronger.

I own three Miculek grips for my three 625s and they are all slightly different too. I picked up the latest one just yesterday. The owner didn't like it and wanted rubber with fingergrooves, so he just gave it to me! I expected to need to do a bit of sanding to make it fit perfectly, but to my surprise it was actually a bit thinner and smaller behind the trigger guard, just the way I prefer it.
