I sent in my $60 last May and I received the two historical letters I requested in the mail today.
I know some don't like the idea of "lettering" modern guns, but I just had to know if this little revolver would come back the way I hoped. I was pleased to see that it did. I still think the new pricing is a deal and a half for anyone who wants to know the history of their S&W, whether old or relatively new.

I don't see a problem with lettering a new gun, especially if you plan on keeping it and passing it along some day. Makes a neat keepsake for your heir(s).
