Will I do any harm to either by shooting the Winchester .38 130 grain target/range loads from walmart? is the 130 too short?
I am concerned mainly with the forcing cone problem on the 66 thanks

No worries, they're fine for either gun.

The 66's forcing cone problems come from a constant or near constant diet of 125 grain Magnums.
My Model 65 has digested 4835 rounds in the 22 months that I've owned it (about 95% of that 38 Specials) and it is fine.

You may be overstating the case to call those 130 gr cartridges "target", but they won't hurt your guns. They are not particularly accurate, just less expensive.

Those 130 gr jobs are very, very mild....they will not harm your 66 in any way.

If you bought a case of them, and dropped them on your foot, while holding the gun, you might drop the gun and damage it That would be the only danger. Shooting them IN the gun, you might cause some wear around 30,000 rounds or so.

Anyone describing these rounds as "Target" are definitely overstating the case. They are cheap plinking rounds, and that is as good as it gets.
These were actually keyholing out of a 642 at 25 yards. Since the flash was also huge, with the heat being noticeable on my hands I figure these are undersized bullets, which means they can't be that accurate.

They are marked target/range on the box

The point is that regardless of what is on the box, their accuracy falls far short of what competitive shooters expect.
