This thread is really more about my learning to post pictures than it is about my guns. But I just happen to have a picture of my S&W .44 Specials on my hard drive. So, with the help of the instructions many of you have provided here on the forum, here goes my first attempt to post a picture. Please forgive me if this first one is way too big.

Oh, the guns in the picture (if it comes through) are, top to bottom: a Model 24-3 6-1/2" (refinished at the factory in brite nickel); a Model 24-3 Lew Horton 3" Combat; and a 624 Lew Horton 3" Combat (TH CT).

Bob

I recently picked up a 24-3 6 1/2" for $500 OTD. Excellent except for that dreaded line that you sometimes find marring the blue when you remove the grips. You know, it follows the contour of the grips. How much did S&W charge you to nickel plate yours? Man, that is tempting.

Let's try another pic. This'll be the flip side of the same guns.

Jerry: Thanks for remembering me!

Wyatt: As I recall, I paid approximately $200 for the change-of-finish on the 6-1/2" M24-3, including the black front sight blade with red insert.

Bob

Looking purty! I still kick myself for passing on a 624 Lew Horton a couple of years ago for $600.

Great pics. You need a 4 inch M24 or M624.

I like the nickel M24-3. I never thought the factory would have done a re-nickel on the out of service Smiths. Something to remember.

Great looking guns and nice pics to. Saw a S&W 44 spl.(624 I think) for sale today at one of the shops but it's too close to Christmas for me to buy myself another present.
