Mine are the "textured" ones but those are not all that "grabby". I usually work mine over with an engraving pen. How they "feel" is subjective but to me they seem sort of like a "thick" set of standard grips with a short T-grip covering the front grip strap.

If everyone might consider listing the grip as well as depicting it/them in photographs it would be helpful to newbies and even those of us with some experience. Also, comments as to recoil with +P, etc., would be appreciated.
I would post photos but I have nothing special.
For carry and shooting I have Hogue Bantams and Monogrips in rubber. My hand is building up with the Bantams so that I am near shooting/carry them exclusively.
Are there any grips comparable to the Bantams? I don't think so when you want concealability and light weight. Also, I think they're better for pain of recoil than the stock UM boot grips.

I'm considering a pair of the Hideout Grips, but I'm curious as to their actual weight.
And I don't have a clue as to which of them I'd prefer or would be a better choice.
My Hogue Bantams actually weigh in at only 1.4 oz. on my digital postal scale.

I tend to lean towards "organic" grips for my J Frames...
Model 36 wearing ivory with S&W medallions...can't swear they're factory but they've got some great patina to them.
Model 49 Bodyguard wearing what I believe to be Red Stag...again with medallions but, again, cannot ID them as factory.
Nickel Model 36 wearing Dyamondwood Boot Grips
Model 36-1 wearing non-factory stag, possibly sambar.
Model 36 nickel wearing mother of pearl with a Tyler-T Grip.
A nifty little square butt 36 with factory walnut.
My daily companion ever so well dressed in elk stag crafted by our very own Executioner.

Thanks, photohause...I consider that a great compliment coming from you. 
I feel a little guilty as these are all retreads...I REALLY need to take some more pics but, since I opened my gun shop a year ago (August 1, 2007...wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), I haven't had the time I used to have to stage and light these puppies.
I'll try to get some new stuff done soon. (I have a Model 12 I just HAVE to show off!) Thanks again for your kind words and please keep posting your extraordinary work.

Digi-shots,to my knowledge these grips,are for left or right hand.While being right handed,I have a left master eye,so I practice and shoot with both hands.Can shoot just as good(or bad) with either hand and thes grips.Grips made by fellow in Indiana,clipsngrips on ebay.

They Look & Feel Great Don't They!!
I much prefer them to the Ahrends for carry as there's no sharp edges & Love the high horn..
I'm test driving a set of Eagle Secret Service Grips on my Airlite 342Ti Currently, The rest of my Centennials Wear Spegal Boot Grips..

Just an update since I received a set of Hideout's today. My 642-1 weighs 14.5 oz with them installed. Nice feel to them - now to relieve them for speedloaders.

Hey HEADKNOCKER, if you get a chance, let me know what your 342Ti weighs with the SS grips.
I just picked up a "like new" one and replaced the UM Boot grips with some Bantams for weight savings.
If the Eagle grips are close to the Bantams, I'd be real tempted.

mini14jac I haven't access to a digi scale but will one of these days weigh my setup while at work just to see..
The Eagle grips are lightweight & much smaller overall than the Spegels, less material in front of the frame..Also they are thinner just a bit..
Here's a decent pic that shows the difference.

Here is a set of grips on my mod.60 that I whittled out of rosewood. The mod. 60 is the first mod. 60 that came into the Columbus, OH area many years ago.

Mod.40 year mfg.1968 unfired. Want to find stag grips like the light ones shown on page one by Sipowicz. How about it Sipowicz, who made those stag grips? I sure would like to swap you out of them.

Like 'em a lot. They're small, won't snag, & everybody likes a bit of bling. I did a little sanding & polishing for the fit. They shoot just fine.
I'm going to get one of the Tyler T-Grips for it tho. I'm sold on those too.
