Eagle Secret Service Rosewoods on a 342Ti:

Don't know about recoil yet, but the Eagle grips are .2-.3 ounces lighter than the Bantam grips.

Thanks for the cleaning tip.
I've only had one range session so far.
After I shoot it again, I'll attack those marks again.

It worked for me, Much stronger than Hoppes which didn't even faze the carbon around the yolk area but the BCBS rubbed it off fairly easily..Also it's safe for the clear coat finish Too!!
Off Topic!! Lets See Those GRIPS!!

I really like the grips that came on this 642-1. Does anyone know what they're made of(rosewood?), and where I can get a couple more pair?

Gary, the CDNN grips are nice, but they're hit or miss. I like dark grips. Once I ordered some K frame cocobolo's from CDNN and when they arrived were much lighter than the pics on their website. I sent em' back.
I really like the Spegel's you have on that 940, they are AWESOME. Maybe I need to break down and order up a pair of those.

The Spegels are the Cats Pajamas..
I'm realy liking the Eagle Secret Service Grips that I put on my 342Ti, There a bit smaller overall & are very light weight, Great For Pocket carry ~So are the Spegels~
Here's a pic I took of the Spegel Grips right after unwrapping them, They are a work of Art, My ****** Pics can't even begin to show how good they look in person..

Now I have got my new pachmayr grips for the Bodyguard.
They were in the mailbox as I came from work today and I put them on the gun asap.

Hi, All:
After looking at all the pictures of S&W J-frame grips, I have decided that a set of grips from Greg Spegil would be a good choice for my mod. 40. Well, how would one get in touch with Spegil? Another good looking set of grips is shown in several pictures, that have some great checkering, but the person that posted the picture, says only that they are from a maker there in Indiana. So, the grips that look the best to me I can't seem to be able to get in touch with the makers. Can anyone help?

Her is a set of Buffalo horn grips that I would like to identify. The white markings on ith inside of the grips are very faint. One mark that I can identify is India. the other is SS3.
There is a beautiful light, white, grain that runs through the black of the grips, that is hard to se untill they are in good light. Here is a picture of them on my mod. 60. This picture does not show them very well.

I've been wrong before and will be again, but I'd guess those are the Secret Service model from Eagle Grips. They do show a Buffalo Horn J Frame version for $145 on their website.

For those of you who don't know, Don Collins makes GREAT grips. I saw a pic in this thread of some of his work. If I ever get to the point where I'm no longer "tech challenged", I'll try to post so pics of his work on my guns.

Here is a picture of my S&W Mod.40 with Graig Spegel s++ "Boot Grips". As no one seems to make grips for the older Mod.40 S&W, I bought a set from Spegel made for the newer Mod.40, and cut them down to fit the older Mod.40. It was worth the effort, and I am well pleased with the grips.

Hey Cocked & Locked - I am also in the market for new grips for my 36-1. I love the ones you posted on your model 60 by Altamont, but have searched all over the internet with no luck. Any ideas where I can get a pair of the same ones? Any suggestions would be apprecaited.
