Great looking gun Stephen, in that shape is hard to fine. I have a set of hen's teeth with mine in the box .

Picked mine up earlier this year. I seem to recall there were less 581s than 681s made. Haven't lettered it yet.
In this photo the grips are switched; the targets belong to the 66-nodash; the magnas to the 581.

I'm a lousy photographer but here is my nickel 581 no dash. I took the modified magnas off and use these combats as they are more comfortable to shoot.

The 581 is just cool - mine shows much more wear than the beauties shown here, but it still shoots better than I can.

Here's one.
My other one is on semi-permanent-long-term-loan to my buddy in California. Poor guy didn't own a revolver (can you imagine?) So I helped him out with a some of my doubles a 58, 13, and a 581.

A three inch, round butt 581 would have been awesome with that full lugged barrel.
