As I mentioned in an earlier discussion I did the DROS on a model 57-1 8 3/8” in Southern California earlier this month. I just returned from my trip to Southern California to pick it up. I left Sunday and drove down the coast and enjoyed the scenery and took a few photos. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Anaheim. The room did not cost me anything as I used my points for a free room. I picked the 57 up this morning and them I headed north to Fresno. There I picked up a model 25-5 8 3?8” with presentation case. Both of these fine revolvers are around 98% and fired very little. Round trip mileage was 874. It cost me around $150.00 for gas. I will post photos later after I set up my camera.
Here is the promised photo of the 57-1.
And here is a photo of the 57-1 and the 25-5.

You were questioning whether it was worth it to drive all that distance for a Mdl 57 but you got two great guns on one trip.
Hell, I drive that far each week between home and the ranch I manage, and it ain't near as much fun.
Well done.

So what??? It was a ROAD TRIP,I love them so Hell, I've been known to drive a lot further for pleasures that were a good bit more transient in nature
